Three Criminals Arrested for Firing at Liquor Shop, One Injured in Encounter

The police have arrested three criminals who had fired at a liquor shop in the Piyau Maniyari area of Kundli Police Station. The police apprehended the criminals after an encounter near Khewda village. One of the criminals sustained a gunshot wound to his leg and has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

The injured criminal has been identified as Harikesh from Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh. The police are currently investigating the criminal records of all three suspects.

On Wednesday around 12:45 PM, chaos broke out at the Scotch Tap Liquors Pvt. Ltd. liquor store in Piyau Maniyari. Three youths, who had earlier bought liquor, returned to the shop in a drunken state. One of them suddenly drew a pistol and fired into the air, threatening the salesman. The other employees raised an alarm, prompting the attackers to flee on their motorcycle.

Employee Amarjeet stated that the same three youths had earlier purchased liquor worth around ?3,000 and ?180 in bottles. They returned to the shop around 1:30 PM and bought liquor worth ?900. As they were leaving, one of them drew a pistol and fired into the air. Amarjeet also mentioned that the criminals had fired shots near a confectionery shop in the area.

Upon receiving the firing report, the CIA-2 team from Sector-7, Sonipat, quickly reached the scene and began gathering clues. Around 1:45 PM, the police surrounded the criminals near Khewda village on NH-334B. Upon seeing the police, the criminals attempted to flee while firing at the officers, but one of them was shot in the leg and fell to the ground. The other two criminals were also apprehended by the police.

The arrested criminals have been identified as Surya Pratap alias Suraj from Futehri village in Sultanpur, Monu from Ramnagar in Rampur, and Harikesh from Benpur in Azamgarh. Harikesh, who was recently released from Azamgarh jail, had a bounty of ?25,000 on his head.
