हत्या मामले में तीन को उम्रकैद, पांच को मारपीट के आरोप में सजा

सोनीपत के अतिरिक्त जिला एवं सत्र न्यायाधीश डॉ. नरिंद्र कौर की अदालत ने एक युवक की हत्या और मारपीट के मामले में फैसला सुनाते हुए कुल आठ आरोपियों को दोषी करार दिया है। अदालत ने संदीप, नरेंद्र और बलजीत उर्फ आशी को हत्या का दोषी मानते हुए उम्रकैद और 20,500-20,500 रुपये जुर्माना की सजा सुनाई है।

वहीं सुशील, जयभगवान, अमित उर्फ भोला, रामेहर और अरुण को मारपीट का दोषी ठहराया गया है और इन्हें एक-एक साल कैद तथा 1,500-1,500 रुपये जुर्माना देने का आदेश दिया गया है।

मामला वर्ष 2020 का है जब खंदराई गांव निवासी सुमित ने 13 मार्च को पुलिस में शिकायत दर्ज कराई थी कि 12 मार्च की रात वह खेत से लौटते समय गली से गुजर रहे थे, तभी संदीप व उसके परिजनों ने उन पर हथियारों से हमला कर दिया। हमला इतना गंभीर था कि सुमित को पीजीआई रोहतक में भर्ती कराना पड़ा, जहां इलाज के दौरान उसकी मौत हो गई।

पहले मामला हत्या के प्रयास का था, लेकिन सुमित की मृत्यु के बाद इसे हत्या में तब्दील कर दिया गया। पुलिस ने इस केस में कुल आठ आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार कर जेल भेजा था। अब न्यायालय ने अपना फैसला सुनाते हुए दोषियों को सजा दे दी है।

In Sonipat, Additional District and Sessions Judge Dr. Narinder Kaur has convicted eight individuals in a murder and assault case, sentencing three of them to life imprisonment and the remaining five to one year of imprisonment each.

Sandeep, Narendra, and Baljeet alias Ashi have been found guilty of murder and have been sentenced to life imprisonment along with a fine of ?20,500 each.
Meanwhile, Sushil, Jaibhagwan, Amit alias Bhola, Ramehar, and Arun have been convicted of assault, and each has been sentenced to one year in jail along with a fine of ?1,500.

The case dates back to March 12, 2020, when Sumit, a resident of Khandrai village, was attacked while returning home through a street. He had earlier had a dispute with Sandeep. That night, Sandeep and his relatives allegedly attacked Sumit with deadly weapons including axes and knives. He later succumbed to his injuries at PGI Rohtak.

Initially registered as an attempt to murder, the case was upgraded to murder after Sumit’s death. The police arrested a total of eight individuals, who were later produced in court. Now, after thorough hearing, the court has pronounced the verdict.
