Water to Be Supplied by Tankers in Sonipat City During Summer

Media Report, Sonipat:

 To ensure uninterrupted water supply during summer, especially in case of power faults or failures in boosting station motors, the Municipal Corporation has arranged for water to be delivered by tankers. Mayor Rajiv Jain and Municipal Commissioner Harshit Kumar flagged off the tankers from the fire station located in Sector-23.

The Mayor said that due to frequent water supply disruptions during the summer months, the corporation has rented tankers for three months. Citizens can request a tanker by calling 9416047000 or 8814870048. He added that boosting station infrastructure has been upgraded ahead of the heatwave, and a proposal to increase the number of rainwater wells (Renivals) is also in progress.

Dust Suppression Vehicles Also Deployed

To control dust on roads and in the environment, the Mayor and Commissioner also flagged off two dust suppression tractor vehicles. The Commissioner mentioned that although road-sweeping machines are operational, water sprinkling is sometimes necessary, especially when GRAP (Graded Response Action Plan) restrictions are in effect in the NCR. Executive Engineer Padam Bhushan and Assistant Engineers Devender Khasa, Anil Dhull, and Bijender Lakra were also present.
