Women’s Police Station Sonepat Conducts Cyber Crime Awareness Program in Baiyapur Village

SHO Women’s Police Station Sonepat, L/Insp. Kavita, and her team conducted an awareness session in Baiyapur village, Sonepat district, to educate women about cybercrime and their legal rights.

During the session, the team explained how cybercriminals exploit social networking sites, emails, chat rooms, fake software, and websites to commit fraud. Women were informed about various ways to protect themselves from cyber fraud.

SHO Women’s Police Station advised them not to click on unknown links, change passwords regularly, never share OTPs, and avoid disclosing personal information to anyone. Additionally, women were made aware of their legal rights concerning domestic violence, maintenance, and equality.

The importance of the cyber helpline number 1930 was also emphasized. The event witnessed active participation from the women of the village.
